Memory and old wine

Filed under: personal, Uncategorized — twofish @ 5:07 am

This is going to be one of those entries that hopefully makes no sense to anyone other than me….

I’ve been thinking about memories in the last day.  The thing about things in the past is that they don’t develop.  Nothing new happens to them, and after a while I have this fear that if you think about the past too often, the memory will “wear out.”  I suppose the way that I can deal with memories is to write them down so that they are fresh, and then store them in a cellar like a cask of wine.  Crush the grapes, distill the essence and then put them into a deep, damp, cold cellar for years and years, until there is a special occasion to pull out the bottle of wine from the cellar and pop the cork.
